One Less Column to Read

Visited smh.com.au to read Peter Roebuck’s column on the chaotic test where Australia was 9 down for 21 at some stage. Then headed to the Sainsbury Wing of National Gallery to view the two versions of The Virgin on the Rocks by Leonardo.

After returning home from the Da Vinci exhibition, I was still thinking about the acres of space in front of Madonna of the Yarnwinder, the depiction of fingers and orb in the Salvator Mundi and the primogeniture talking about a dozen or so people sitting on a table.

I decided to quickly check the result of Paris Masters. Roger won again, a week after winning the previous one. The title which followed a ten month drought. And he will be in London next week to defend his ATP Finals title. All good!

Time to check the news feed. Peter Roebuck is dead. A suicide. What does it mean? Does it matter? It definitely means I have no reason to visit smh.com.au in future.
